Ignore and block
How to ignore/block a user:
- If you find a user who makes you feel uncomfortable, you can click on their name and then "Ignore", or if you are in a private chat with them, type /t and send it as a normal message. This will prevent the user from sending you messages, and unless you are a moderator or higher, you will not be able to see the messages they send in chat.
- You can also block someone by clicking the circle symbol with a slash in the top right and then pressing "Block" if hiding the user's messages isn't enough. These two functions have different functionalities. For a comparison list between Ignore and Block, please read the User Guide article.
- In the latter case, if the chat you are in has anti-harassment rules and you are a moderator or higher, you can ban the user according to the chat's guidelines. If you are not a team member, you can contact one and report their behavior.
- If all else fails, you always have the ability to find another chat at Blixad.com/groups.
Hacking threats
Blixad.com has implemented security measures to keep your personal information safe from malicious users. All your personal information is stored securely on Blixad's servers and is not accessible by other users. It is important to exercise extreme caution before clicking on external links provided by other users, as they might try to compromise your Blixad account via phishing. We trust that you will be less vulnerable to these attacks by following this guide and using Blixad.com sensibly.
Inappropriate language
Mask inappropriate language:
- If someone is using inappropriate language, you can ignore them to stop receiving those messages. You can also activate the Banned Words filter in your account settings. This will automatically replace any prohibited words with symbols and a gray background to indicate that an inappropriate word has been used. Clicking on this symbol will display the forbidden word, so only click if you are comfortable seeing inappropriate words.
Inappropriate chats
If you come across a chat that has inappropriate content in the background, description, or anywhere in the chat, please confirm that it violates our Terms of Service, and if so, hover over "group" in the top right corner, click "Inappropriate" and fill in the information. This will send a report to Blixad and we will take appropriate action.
Inappropriate profiles
If you find an inappropriate profile, click "Inappropriate" in the upper right corner and fill out the form. If they have an advanced profile (using ME power), use the pop-up menu at the bottom left, and again click the "Inappropriate" option.
This will send a report to Blixad, where it will be dealt with appropriately and you will no longer be contacted.
Protect Yourself from Phishing - Important Information
What is Phishing?
Phishing is a fraudulent tactic used by criminals to obtain personal information, such as email addresses and passwords. It is crucial to be aware of phishing attempts and take preventive measures to safeguard your account on Blixad.
How Does Phishing Work?
Criminals create fake pages that closely resemble Blixad's account management page. They use deceptive methods, to lure users into clicking on links and providing their personal information. These actions can compromise your account and lead to unauthorized access.
Protecting Yourself from Phishing
- Always ensure that you are logging into Blixad's official account panel. Check the URL in the address bar of your web browser to confirm it starts with "https://blixad.com/pages/login-register". Avoid entering your email address, username, or password on any other page.
- Use a unique password for your Blixad account, separate from your email password. Ensure your password is alphanumeric, with a minimum of 10 characters and a combination of letters and numbers. Change your password regularly and avoid using predictable patterns or words.
- Enable Account Protection on Blixad, selecting the appropriate level of security to enhance account safeguarding measures.
- Be cautious of any security check emails from Blixad. Verify that the sender's email address is info@blixad.com and not a fraudulent imitation. Exercise caution even if the email appears legitimate, as criminals can replicate email addresses. Strengthen the security of your associated email address to prevent unauthorized access to your account.
- Develop awareness of phishing email signs, including suspicious email addresses, professional-sounding names, and deceptive links. Always hover over links before clicking on them and avoid opening or downloading any files from unknown sources.
If You Suspect Phishing
If you believe your account has been compromised through phishing, stay calm and take immediate action. Change your Blixad account password and your associated email password to enhance security. Report the phishing website by submitting a ticket or page of contact under the category "Report Phishing" with detailed evidence, including the date, time, and any other relevant information. Remember, logging into another user's account without permission is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.
Remember that following these guidelines will help you stay safe online while enjoying the group chat platform at Blixad.com. Have fun and stay safe!
